Cities are at the frontline of today’s biggest challenges – from climate shocks to health inequities and social fragmentation. But cities are also the key drivers of change. Hosted by TPC (Tsao Pao Chee) and No. 17 Foundation, Impact Week 2025 will convene public sector leaders, businesses, capital providers, innovators, and changemakers to discuss pathways toward long-term impact. The Resilient Cities Network (R-Cities) is honored to host the panel “From Plans to Partnerships: Building Resilient Cities for Climate, Inclusion, and Well-Being” - a conversation on how cities are at the forefront of today’s most pressing challenges, from intensifying climate shocks to widening health inequities and social fragmentation, and how urban resilience is being reimagined across the Asia-Pacific.

For Penang, this resonates strongly with the Penang Resilience Strategy which has just been launched on 1 August 2025 and Penang2030 Vision - A Family Focused, Green and Smart State that Inspires the Nation:

𝐘𝐁𝐡𝐠. 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐨’ 𝐓𝐏𝐫. 𝐆𝐬. 𝐑𝐨𝐳𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐁𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢 𝐇𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐭, Chief Resilience Officer of Penang, proudly represented the state as a panelist, will share Penang’s journey and experiences in building resilience during the panel in 17 September 2025.

Participants will explore what makes resilience actionable, scalable, and culturally rooted, and how cities can evolve from risk mitigation to become engines of regeneration and equity.

Penang stands united with Asia-Pacific cities in shaping a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable future for all.
